Starting a Blog

Recently I've been introduced to the world of blogging. I've been reading a few, some of friends, some of strangers, and I've found myself addicted. I don't know if it's some weird voyeuristic trait I have, but I've thoroughly enjoyed reading about these people's lives and learning from them. So... I've decided to start a blog for our family (thanks to Russ's prodding). I don't know if anyone will read it, or care, but I think it will be fun.

That being said, let me tell you about us. We're the Francis family. Russ and I (Wendy) have 4 kids. Christian-11, Joseph-8, Anna-3, and Kate-10 months. We live in Eagle Mountain Utah. Russ is a Multimedia developer and I'm a mom and a ballet instructor. Russ and I met 13 years ago in Cache Valley, Utah. My best friend in high school, Cristi Francis- now Cottle, was Russ's sister. She introduced us and the rest is all history. I fell for him the moment he smiled at me with his wrinkly eyes. We were married 3 months later, living in Mississippi 3 months after that, and pregnant 1 month after that. We moved to Hawaii (Russ was in the Air Force). Four years and 2 kids later we moved home to Utah and have been here ever since. We lived in Murray for 2 years, then moved out here to Eagle Mountain and had 2 more kids. Thats our life in an extereme nutshell. I swear it was alot more eventful than I've made it sound, I just didn't want to bore you with all the gorry details. You'll have to sit through enough of those if you continue to read our blog. :)

So today nothing exciting happened. I'm afraid that's how most of my blogs will go. We're pretty boring people. We don't travel alot (although we would LOVE to), we don't do extreme sports or mingle with the rich and famous. We mainly try to keep our heads above water dealing with 4 kids and jobs and church resposibilities. That, right now, seems to be enough adventure for us. Hopefully I will be able to amuse all who read this with funny things my kids did, ideas and thoughts I have, or by my screaming for help. Hmmm...have I scared you all off yet?
